Where it works

It is a plain iframe, so anywhere that accepts HTML accepts this.

  • WordPress — add a Custom HTML block and paste. The classic editor needs the Text tab rather than Visual.
  • Wix, Squarespace, Webflow — use the Embed or Code element.
  • Notion, Google Sites — use Embed and paste the src URL on its own; add the credit line as ordinary text underneath.
  • Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard — paste into an HTML page or the source view of a rich-text block.

Keep the credit visible if you can

It is in the embed code already. We do not enforce it technically and the widget works identically without it, but a visible link is how people find the rest of what we make, and it is the only thing we ask for.

Do not present it as your own product

Embedding it and crediting us is the intended use. Rehosting the widget on your own domain, or removing the credit and calling it yours, is not.

We keep it working

If a conversion table changes we update it, and every embed updates with it. No version pinning, nothing to re-paste.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?
Yes, and there is no catch to read for. No account, no API key, no usage limit, no expiry. We built the calculators for our own site and serving them to yours costs us almost nothing.
Does it slow my page down?
No. The widget is a single self-contained HTML document of about six kilobytes with no external requests, no fonts and no frameworks, and it loads lazily by default, so it will not affect your Core Web Vitals.
Does it track my visitors?
No. There are no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts inside the widget. It does the arithmetic in your visitor's browser and sends us nothing. That is also why it needs no consent banner of its own.
Do I have to keep the credit line?
We ask you to, and the embed code includes it, but nothing breaks if you remove it. The widget is not crippled without attribution and we do not check. A visible credit is simply the trade: you get a maintained calculator, we get to be found by people who liked it.
Will it match my site's design?
It follows each reader's light or dark preference by default, so it sits naturally in most designs, and you can pin it to light or dark if your site is one or the other. The frame is transparent-edged and takes the width you give it, up to 680 pixels.
How accurate are the conversions?
The Listening and Reading tables are the widely published raw-score conversions, and official tables shift by a mark or so between test versions, so treat them as a close estimate rather than a guarantee. The overall and section rounding rules are the official ones: overall rounds to the nearest half band with .25 and .75 rounding up, and Writing and Speaking round their criterion average down to the nearest half band.
