Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SpeakMetry. They explain account use, one-time purchases (Premium Passes and exam credits), usage allowances, refunds, and the limits of the service.
These Terms govern your use of SpeakMetry ("we", "us", "SpeakMetry").
By accessing or using SpeakMetry ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SpeakMetry is an AI-powered IELTS Speaking preparation platform. It offers realistic mock speaking exams conducted by an AI examiner in real time, self-paced practice sessions, AI-generated feedback reports and band-score estimates, a vocabulary builder, progress tracking, and a library of free study guides.
AI disclosure: the examiner you speak with is an artificial-intelligence system, not a human, and your feedback reports and band scores are generated by AI. Band scores produced by the Service are practice estimates anchored to the publicly available IELTS band descriptors. They are not official IELTS scores, and using the Service does not guarantee any particular result on an official IELTS examination or any improvement in your official score.
IELTS is a registered trademark of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. SpeakMetry is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the IELTS Partners.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Many free features — including the free AI tools and public learning resources — can be used without an account. An account is required for purchases, progress tracking, practice sessions, and realistic exam sessions. If you create an account, you must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person; account sharing is not permitted.
Free features — including the AI tool suite — are subject to fair daily usage limits. The free limits are identical for visitors and free accounts; only Premium Pass holders receive higher limits. Current limits are published on the pricing page. We use reasonable technical measures (including anonymous, privacy-preserving usage counters) to enforce these limits and prevent automated abuse.
Creating a free account does not change the free usage limits — accounts exist to save progress, history, and purchases. The realistic exam simulation always requires purchased exam credits.
SpeakMetry sells one-time purchases only, in US dollars (USD), at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase: Premium Passes (a fixed period of premium access — 1, 3, 6, or 12 months — that starts on purchase, shows its exact expiry date before you pay, and never renews or charges you again) and exam credit packs (credits for realistic exam sessions that never expire). Nothing on SpeakMetry is a subscription, and no purchase creates a recurring charge.
Buying a Premium Pass while another is active extends your access: the new pass's full duration is added on top of your current expiry date. When a pass expires, your account returns to the free limits and you retain access to your history and results.
Payments are processed by our merchant of record, PayPro Global, who is the seller of record for your purchase. Charges therefore appear on your statement as PayPro Global, not as SpeakMetry. We do not receive or store your card details. We sell only our own products — Premium Passes and exam credits. We never process examination fees, tuition or tutoring payments, university or certification fees, or payments intended for any third party. Applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) may be added at checkout depending on your location. We send a receipt for every charge, and a courtesy email before your pass expires (no charge is ever associated with expiry).
Daily usage allowances (AI tool runs, practice sessions, pronunciation evaluations) reset every day at midnight UTC and do not accumulate. The allowances attached to each tier are published on the pricing page and enforced in the Service.
Exam credits are consumed one per realistic exam session. They never expire, work with or without a Premium Pass, and are not transferable between accounts.
One exam credit is deducted from your balance when a realistic exam session is successfully started.
If a session fails to start, if the live connection never establishes, or if scoring fails after your session, the exam credit is refunded to your balance automatically. If you close the browser or lose connection after a session has successfully started, the session counts as used — we recommend a stable connection and a quiet environment before starting.
Because nothing renews, there is never a subscription to cancel: a Premium Pass simply ends on its stated expiry date, and exam credits remain on your account until used. You can delete your account at any time from your settings; deleting your account forfeits any remaining pass time and unused credits except where a refund applies under our Refund Policy.
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which includes a 30-day money-back guarantee on unused Premium Passes and unused exam credit packs. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights in your country of residence (for example, the 14-day withdrawal right for consumers in the European Union and United Kingdom) are not affected by these Terms.
Each account is for use by a single individual for their own exam preparation. You may not share credentials, resell access, use automation to consume sessions, or attempt to extract or misuse the AI models behind the Service.
The Service is a practice and feedback tool. You may not use it to misrepresent your language proficiency to any third party, and SpeakMetry does not produce certificates or official assessments of any kind.
Examination integrity. SpeakMetry is for preparation and practice before an examination. You may not use the Service during, or to assist anyone during, a live or proctored examination of any kind, including IELTS. We do not supply live exam answers, leaked, recalled or otherwise unauthorised examination content, proctoring-circumvention techniques, candidate impersonation, or examination-taking services. All practice questions, cue cards and discussion topics on the Service are original material written by us and modelled on the publicly documented IELTS format and band descriptors. Accounts used for any of the above are terminated without refund.
Academic integrity. Our writing features — model-answer generators, paraphrasing, grammar correction and text improvement — are study aids designed to show what a high-band IELTS response looks like and to explain why. They are not designed, sold or marketed for producing work submitted for academic credit, and you may not use them to complete or disguise university coursework, assessed assignments, dissertations, or take-home examinations. You remain responsible for complying with the academic-integrity rules of any institution you belong to.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of credential sharing, automated abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms. Where practical we will warn you first.
Feedback reports, band-score estimates, study plans, example sentences, and similar outputs are generated by AI systems. AI output can contain mistakes and should be treated as practice guidance, not professional advice or an official evaluation. We continuously work on quality, but we do not warrant that any AI output is accurate, complete, or equivalent to the judgment of a human IELTS examiner.
All content on the Service, including the examiner experience, scoring system, question banks, feedback reports interface, and study materials, is the property of SpeakMetry or its licensors.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service, except that you may use your own session recordings, transcripts, and reports for your personal study.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. SpeakMetry does not warrant that band scores produced by the AI examiner will match scores on any official IELTS examination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakMetry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
We may update these Terms or change the Service (including usage allowances and pricing) from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect; price changes apply only to future purchases, and allowance changes never reduce what an already-active Premium Pass was sold with — changes are never retroactive. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
