    Are these official IELTS tests?
    No. They are original tests written for SpeakMetry in the format of the real paper: the same parts, the same question types and the same printed instructions. SpeakMetry is not affiliated with the IELTS Partners.
    Can I take a Listening test for free?
    Every question paper here is free to read. A free account can sit one full test with the recording, the clock and the marking. A Premium Pass raises that to four tests a day.
    How is a Listening test marked?
    Against the answer key, as the real paper is: spelling counts, and an answer over the word limit is wrong. The score out of 40 is converted to a band with the published table, and every lost mark is shown with the line of the recording that held the answer.
    Why is there no recording on these pages?
    The recording plays once, from start to finish, inside the test, as it does in the exam. These pages show the question paper, so you can see what a test contains before you sit it.
